Thomas Meyer is an accomplished pianist from San Diego, California who recently completed his bachelor’s degree in the California State University Northridge Music Industry Studies program. Meyer prides himself on his musically diverse playing spanning genres from funk, rock, classical, R&B, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and jazz. Thomas has been performing with his groups around Southern California since 2016, and New York since 2024. Thomas has performed at venues such as Dizzy’s Jazz Club (San Diego), Music Box, Spreckels Organ Pavilion, and Ornithology Jazz Club in New York. Depending on the venue, performances can include light background music, music for dancing, or full-blown productions, such as his 2021 tribute to Joni Mitchell.
Thomas now resides in New York City, and is available for booking for performances throughout the area. This includes solo, duos, trios, quartets, or larger-scale ensembles. Thomas has a large network of musicians he works with, including bass, guitar, drums, saxophone, trumpet, and vocals, so we can work to find the perfect fit for your space. Thomas’s most trusted collaborator is vocalist Samantha Hafey – they have been performing together regularly for five years and have built up a large repertoire.
